damage the screen because the clearance between the display and keyboard is designed to a very tight tolerance.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Many of us often put a covering over the camera of our Macbook- by sticking a piece of paper, post-it note, or any other covering.<\/p>\n

This gives us a sense of privacy and ensures extra security from hackers.<\/p>\n

Regardless of what you believe, the camera cover messes with the ambient light sensor of the machine and prevents many features from working properly-including the ambient light sensor, the automatic brightness, and Apple\u2019s Retina Display Truetone technology.<\/p>\n

Apple\u2019s advice over the camera covers<\/strong><\/p>\n

If it\u2019s absolutely necessary to use camera cover due to workplace rules, in such cases, the Cupertino-giant recommends a few guidelines that are mandatory to follow.<\/p>\n

Apple advises using something that isn\u2019t sticky or leaves behind any sticky residue.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re to put a cover over the camera, use something thin and always make it a note to take it off before you close the screen.<\/p>\n

You should also ensure that the thickness of the cover is not more than 0.1mm.<\/p>\n

To safeguard your privacy and to have control over which apps have access to your Macbook camera, you can change the settings in the system preference by heading toward the control access.<\/p>\n

Another way to be observant about the camera being active is to notice the LED indicator light adjacent to the camera.<\/p>\n

Anytime light is green, it means your integrated webcam is active.<\/p>\n

Apple ensures that the LED light is the indicator and the camera can never turn on without the indicator turning green because Facetime HD cameras are strategically designed bearing in mind the privacy of the users.<\/p>\n
